Achieve TC Career & College Center

Career & College Center staff work one-on-one with students and track their planning throughout high school, offering guidance on the following topics:

• Personal interest and identity development
• Exploring pathways and career options
• Researching, applying for and selecting postsecondary programs
• Financing planning through financial aid, scholarships, and budgeting
• Preparing to enter the workforce, including help with job searches, resumes and interviewing

Career & College Center staff also collaborate with school counselors, other career and college readiness organizations and MPS leadership to provide a wide variety of opportunities for students to explore career and college pathways. These include the following:

• Career and college field trips, networking and connections with local professionals
• Postsecondary exposure through campus tours, rep visits and fairs
• Career information sessions, career panels, workshops and networking events
• Links to other partner organizations for additional opportunities

In addition to their work with school counseling teams and peer organizations, the CCCs also partner with higher education and training institutions, and with employers and trade organizations, to build a continuous system of support to ensure that all students have full access to career and college opportunities in our community.
